When the search results list appears, a heading shows how many titles were found, and your current viewing position in the list. To navigate the results list, click the page number links at the top or bottom of the page. Click the arrows next to the page numbers to see the previous and next pages.
Note:
You can set the number of titles that appear on each search
results page before you start a search. See Set
search options.
The results list may include information under each title that shows where your search term occurs in the record for the title. This information can help you decide whether the title interests you.
If the title is a serial such as a magazine or a newspaper, you may see a range of the issues the library system keeps. (Gaps are not included, and certain issues may not be actually available locally.) You can see details about the issues at each branch. See Availability.
The results list shows brief information about each title. From here, you can see more information and work with any title:
: More details - Click the title itself, the Availability or Full Display button, or a book jacket image to see more information about the title. See Viewing More Details.
:
Internet links - A globe icon
and Web Site link in
a title listing indicates that a related Web site is available. Click the Web
Site link to open the site within the online catalog window.
You can navigate the site, then return to your search results at any
time.
Note:
Occasionally a link in an external Web site may open a new
browser window that replaces the online catalog window. In this case,
you must click the browser back button to return to the online catalog.
: Add to My List - Click this option to add a title to a list that you can format and save, print, or send by e-mail. See Working with Title Lists.
: Format icons - An icon in each title listing represents the format of the title. You can place the cursor over the icon to see what format is indicated by the icon. If the library has a title in several formats, only one icon is displayed. For example, the library may hold the title The Client as a DVD and a book, but only the DVD icon is displayed. To see all the formats for the title, check the detailed information for the title (see Viewing More Details). The publication date, if known, appears below the format icon for most titles. The date is not displayed for serials, such as magazines and newspapers.
